I've been meaning to put this post together and while my plans have changed this morning due to a poorly boy home from school, I thought it would be a good opportunity to catch up.
So, meet Jack:
Jack is the gorgeous boy of Rachel and James. I met Rachel through the world of twitter - now I'm trying to write it down it seems a bit elongated but it isn't really so I'll try and explain... I was following the incredibly lovely Ellie of Buttons Parties, a fabulous children's party planner/entertainer and Rachel is her friend and also on twitter so I started following her too (in a non-stalker way of course). Ellie then started up a local group of the Clandestine Cake Club where I met her in person and Rachel was there too. From following her on twitter I knew Rachel is incredibly talented with a sewing machine so when my sister was returning from a three year work stint to Paris, I commissioned her to make a tricolour cushion to match a Union Flag one she had been given when she relocated! Have a look at Rachel's website The Printed Tree, she really does make beautiful things!
Then, things got busy for me and I couldn't make a few cake clubs and drifted away from the world of twitter. In December I had a call from Ellie asking if I did gift vouchers as she'd like to purchase one for a friend, it then transpired it was for Rachel! I was very excited to be seeing Rachel again and for me at least, it felt like the quickest pregnancy ever!
Anyway, back to Jack! Babies often look like their Dads, but Jack was a total miniature of his Dad who I have to say was so helpful during the session, doing a great job of soothing, changing and generally being supportive and lovely!
Jack didn't seem that keen on sleeping so we took the opportunity to get some lovely bright eyed photos, look at those gorgeous blue eyes.
Then with the help of milk and cuddles, he drifted off!
Look at his hair, scrumptious!
Thank you Rachel and James for allowing me to photograph so your gorgeous boy, I hope life as a family of three is going well x
If you're interested in having your own little bundle photographed please do get in touch, preferably while still pregnant as it's good to pencil in a date for when baby is less than 2 weeks old!
